More About Me

 

I love movement. I grew up in an active family, but was really only semi-active as a teenager!  Going away to college changed everything.  Walking 20 minutes to campus, walking to class in different buildings, and taking dance classes daily meant I was suddenly moving my body a lot!  And I loved it.  

I teach elementary PE,  I am a certified yoga teacher, a certified personal trainer and I have a BA in Dance.  But, I learned that with all of my expertise in movement I couldn’t change my weight through physical effort.   Changing the way I THOUGHT about things is what finally brought the changes I desired in my weight and my health.  I  have the balance in my mind and my body that feels right for me.  I now eat food that I enjoy that doesn’t feel restrictive and do exercise and movement that I love.
